Scott Kalb is CEO of KLTI Advisors, a firm dedicated to working with sovereign funds, pension funds and general partnerships on strategies to invest for the long-term. Additionally, Mr. Kalb is Founder and Director of the Responsible Asset Allocator Initiative at New America, helping the world’s largest institutions to invest in solutions for the world’s greatest challenges. He also serves as Chairman of the Sovereign Investor Institute at Institutional Investor.
During 2009-2012, Mr. Kalb served as CIO and Deputy CEO of the Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), Korea’s US$200 billion Sovereign Wealth Fund, growing AUM from US$19 billion to US$60 billion during his tenure. Prior to KIC, Mr. Kalb worked in finance for 25 years, including at firms Balyasny, Black Arrow Capital, Tudor, and Citigroup.
Mr. Kalb is an elected member of the town of Greenwich Representative Town Meeting (RTM). He serves on the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Long-term Investing and on the Board of the Private Capital Research Institute, a Harvard based initiative. Mr. Kalb received an MA in economics from Harvard University and a BA with Honors from Oberlin College.
